A’Bear & Pat Grimm

A’Bear is a multi continental psychedelic electronic producer and DJ making cosmically inspired sounds composed of hypnotising trance like melodic layers of loops woven through intricate beats.
South African born, Australian raised, and London grown- Janine A’Bear’s music production and live performances encourage inclusivity and induce dream-like states of consciousness on the dance floor for all to enjoy.
Described by Resident Advisor as ‘wonderfully unhinged’, A’Bear combines psychedelic polyrhythms with distorted bass lines and warped vocals. Trained in gong meditation and yoga teaching A’Bear explores her mindful deep connection with the chaos of sound leaving her unique imprint across diverse activities.
A’Bear is a complete live wire underground maverick on the electronic London scene since 2016- her sound is in a constantly emerging, evolving flow residing somewhere between krautrock/komische tinged tangerine-esque dreamy undercurrents combined with repetitive meditative bass lines and arpeggiated digital synthetic melodies and rhythms.

Pat Grimm – East London based, visual chef projecting omelettes of colour, diving into liquid matter to synchronise with sound. Aiming to skip complex electronics for the sake of physical play and mental healing. Previously paired up on 2022 Glastonbury Gas Tower in Shangri-La, performance with Johnny Halifax and The Howling Truth, New River Studios – with Fear of Fluffing, currently working with A’Bear on multiple projects.
