Gil.Barte is a sound artist rooted in the modular and experimental scene, founder of the KUMP and Meth.O.tapes labels, and host of the show “Methodrone” on LYL radio.

In his constant sonic exploration, Gil.Barte delivers meditative, transcendental, and esoteric music, with intriguing, fantastical, and dreamlike sonic images.

His compositions navigate through slow ritual rhythms, drum’n’bass-ish incantations, and other mystical hybrid forms.

A music haunted by glitches and drones, where one loses oneself in a dark ambient, evoking a forest of faces on the walls, muffled corridors, and the whispers of the basement.

After releases on labels such as Big Science, Neubau, and Homemade Sound System, Gil.Barte joins Teenage Menopause crew with his new album “Claviceps Purpurea.”
