Simonas Nekrošius

Simonas Nekrošius is an interdisciplinary artist based in Vilnius, renowned for his expertise in sound art and the creation of DIY electroacoustic instruments, sound objects and performances. His artistic philosophy embraces the principles of “readymade” and “DIY”, highlighting the continuous evolution of creation rather than focusing solely on the end product. This approach ensures that his projects maintain an intriguing indeterminacy, capable of evolving over time. Additionally, Simonas plays a pivotal role as co-curator of Vilnius-based independent art initiatives, including Studium P and Retrito Smarsas.
