For the past several years, Franco-Egyptian composer and multi-instrumentalist Seif Gaber, alias Polonius, has been releasing music on a constant, with many hypnagogic alterations of time-travelling imaginations, with a relevant filmic approach. Alongside his demo series “Antique Fantasia”, he has released music on labels such as Goaty Tapes, Ikuisuus, Artetetra and Sun Ark, sometimes dubbing himself with other nicknames like 80s detective or Rorschac.
But more recently, Polonius’s music has gone into a path leaning towards his free jazz roots, combining breakbeat, jungle and sunnity electronics within his oneiric glossary. The incense ritual is now a ride to be driven on the back of a dragon.”
